About Velmar
Desktop software for workshops
Velmar is a software company in Croatia. It makes desktop programs for workshops and small manufacturers, and Velmar Cut is the first of them.
Why Velmar Cut exists
Velmar Cut was started for Rinox d.o.o., a steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabricator in Zadar. Rinox needed cutting software that is modern, clear to work with and well designed, and the program has been built around that request since its first version.
Cuts are often planned in a spreadsheet that ignores the blade, or in a large suite that needs a consultant to set up. Velmar Cut handles mitred profiles and contour nesting with the kerf and the stock you really have, and you can set it up in an afternoon.
The name and the mark
The name Velmar joins Velebit, the mountain range along the Croatian coast, and Marjan, the forested hill above Split. The mark is an ivory mountain outline with a rising blue V. Velmar Cut has six colour themes: Classic, Midnight, Marjan, Adriatic, Terracotta and Velebit. The Marjan and Velebit themes carry the two names, and Adriatic is named after the sea.

Development
Who builds Velmar Cut
Branimir Čavrag develops and supports Velmar Cut. Trained in mechanical engineering, Branimir has developed software professionally for more than ten years.
Engineering came first: technical drawing and 3D design in CATIA, where Branimir's work was recognised at national level. Velmar Cut is built on that background and treats profiles, mitre angles, kerf and DXF contours the way a workshop drawing defines them.
When you write to Velmar, the reply comes from the person who writes the program, and requests from workshops go into the next versions.

How we work
A full trial before you buy
The 7-day trial unlocks every edition. Plan a job you have already cut, compare the material it uses, and buy only when the plans suit your workshop.
Your data on your computer
Jobs, drawings and stock stay on your computer. The program runs and activates without the internet.
Clear licence terms
Fixed terms, paid once, with no automatic renewal. A renewal starts when the current licence ends, so no paid day is lost.
Safe file handling
Autosave, backup copies and history snapshots protect every job. A lost cutting plan costs material and time at the saw.
What comes next
Velmar Cut gains features with each release. Further Velmar programs for workshops and small manufacturers are in development.
Free trial
Seven days with every edition
Install Velmar Cut, enter the parts and stock of a current job and print the cutting schedule. The trial starts on first run and needs no account or card.
